Installation & Placement

  3. Level Surface: Unit must be level for proper bucket operation and to prevent leaks.
  4. Power Connection: Plug directly into a grounded 115V AC outlet. Do not use extension cords.

WARNING! Do not place in closets or enclosed spaces. Ensure room temperature is between 41°F and 95°F for optimal operation.

First-Time Setup

Power on the dehumidifier; follow initial setup steps.

  1. Insert Bucket: Ensure collection bucket is properly seated and clicks into place.
  2. Set Humidity Level: Press the HUMIDITY button to set desired relative humidity (start at 50%).

  2. Clean Filter: Remove washable filter every 2 weeks (more often in dusty environments). Rinse under warm water, air dry completely before reinstalling. Press FILTER button for 3 seconds to reset alert.
  3. Exterior Cleaning: Wipe cabinet with soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives.
  4. Coil Cleaning: Gently vacuum condenser coils every 3 months to remove dust (unplug unit first).
  5. End of Season: For storage, empty and clean bucket, clean filter, let unit run in fan-only mode for 1 hour to dry internal components, then unplug and store in dry place.

WARNING! Always unplug unit before cleaning. Never immerse in water.

Draining Options

Two methods for water removal: manual bucket emptying or continuous drain.

Manual (Bucket): Unit stops when bucket is full (indicator light). Pull bucket straight out, empty, and reinsert firmly until click is heard.

Continuous Drain:

  1. Ensure unit is unplugged and turned off.
  2. Remove bucket.
  3. Attach standard 5/8" inner diameter garden hose to drain port (clockwise).
  4. Route hose to floor drain, sink, or sump pump (ensure downward slope).
  5. Replace bucket (required for proper operation even when using hose).
  6. Plug in and turn on unit; water will flow continuously through hose.

CAUTION! Do not kink or elevate drain hose above unit. Check hose regularly for clogs.
