Installation & Placement

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a level, stable surface.

  1. Choose location: Place in center of room or area with high humidity, away from walls and furniture for proper airflow.
  2. Check clearance: Ensure at least 12 inches of space on all sides, especially around air intake and exhaust.
  3. Prepare drain option: For continuous drainage, attach hose to outlet and route to floor drain or sink.
  4. Insert bucket: Ensure water bucket is securely in place.
  5. Plug into grounded electrical outlet.

WARNING! Do not use in temperatures below 41°F. Ensure the unit is upright before operating.

First-Time Setup

Power on the dehumidifier; the control panel will illuminate.

  1. Set humidity level: Press the HUMIDITY button to select desired set point (recommended 45-50% for comfort).
  2. Select mode: Choose between AUTO (maintains set point) or CONTINUOUS (runs constantly until turned off).
  3. Set timer (optional): Use TIMER button to program automatic start/stop times.
  4. Check filter: Ensure the washable filter is clean and properly installed.
  5. Allow 24 hours for the unit to achieve optimal moisture removal in a new environment.

CAUTION! Do not block air vents. Keep the unit away from curtains and other obstructions.

Access all functions via the digital control panel on top of the unit.

Control Panel: POWER, MODE (Auto/Continuous), HUMIDITY SET (+/-), FAN SPEED (High/Low), TIMER, FILTER RESET indicator, FULL BUCKET indicator.

Humidity Control: Set desired level from 35% to 85% RH. The unit will cycle on/off to maintain this level in AUTO mode. Fan Speed: HIGH for maximum moisture removal, LOW for quieter operation. Timer: Program to turn on/off up to 24 hours in advance. Alerts: FILTER light indicates when to clean the filter; BUCKET light signals when to empty the water container.

Operating Modes

Auto Mode: Unit monitors room humidity and runs only when needed to maintain set point. Continuous Mode: Runs constantly until manually turned off or bucket is full. Laundry Mode: Optional high-speed setting for drying laundry in enclosed spaces (refer to advanced settings).

  1. Press POWER to turn on.
  2. Press MODE to select AUTO or CONTINUOUS.
  3. In AUTO, use HUMIDITY buttons to set target humidity.
  4. Press FAN to select High or Low speed.
  5. For continuous drainage, ensure hose is connected and bucket is removed.

Tip: Close windows and doors in the room for most efficient operation.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures efficiency and longevity.

  1. Empty bucket: When FULL light illuminates, remove bucket, pour out water, and replace securely.
  2. Clean filter: Every 2-4 weeks, remove filter, rinse with warm water, air dry completely before reinstalling. Press FILTER RESET button.
  3. Clean exterior: Unplug unit. Wipe with soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals.
  4. Clean bucket: Monthly, wash bucket with mild detergent to prevent mold/mildew.
  5. Check coils: Annually, vacuum condenser coils through rear grille to remove dust.

WARNING! Always unplug before cleaning. Never immerse unit in water.

Storage & Winterization

If not using for extended period (e.g., winter):

  1. Unplug unit and empty bucket completely.
  2. Clean filter and bucket as described above. Allow all parts to dry thoroughly.
  3. Coil power cord neatly.
  4. Store upright in a cool, dry place. Cover to prevent dust accumulation.
  5. For storage in freezing temperatures, ensure unit is completely dry.
