Controls and Settings

Control Panel located on top of unit.

Power Button: Press to turn unit ON/OFF. Humidistat Knob: Rotate to set target humidity level. Clockwise increases dryness (lower RH%).

Indicator Lights:
Power (Green): Illuminates when unit is ON.
Full Tank (Red): Illuminates when water tank is full and needs emptying.
Defrost (Yellow): Illuminates during auto defrost cycle (compressor pauses).

Auto Restart: After a power outage, unit will resume operation at previous settings automatically.

Operation Modes

Standard operation with adjustable humidity control.

  1. Normal Mode: Set humidistat to desired level. Unit runs until humidity is reduced, then cycles on/off to maintain setting.
  2. Continuous Mode: Turn humidistat to maximum (clockwise) for continuous dehumidification regardless of room humidity.
  3. Auto Defrost: Activates automatically when coil temperature drops below 41°F (5°C). Compressor pauses; fan may continue.

Tip: For fastest drying, close windows and doors. For energy savings, set humidistat to 50-55%.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures efficiency and longevity.

  1. Emptying Water Tank: When FULL light comes on, unplug unit, pull tank out by handle, empty, and reinsert firmly.
  2. Cleaning Air Filter: Every 2-4 weeks, remove filter, rinse with lukewarm water, let dry completely, and reinstall.
  3. Cleaning Exterior: Wipe cabinet with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals.
  4. Cleaning Water Tank: Periodically clean with mild detergent and water to prevent mold/mildew.

WARNING! Always unplug the unit before any maintenance. Do not immerse unit in water.

Draining Options

Two methods for water removal.

  1. Manual Drain (Tank): Use the removable tank for smaller spaces. Empty when full.
  2. Continuous Drain (Gravity): For unattended operation. Remove tank, attach a standard 5/8" ID garden hose (not included) to the drain outlet at back. Route hose to a floor drain or sink. Ensure hose path is downhill without kinks.

CAUTION! In continuous drain mode, the Full Tank alert and auto shut-off are disabled. Ensure drain path is clear.

Care & Storage

When not in use for extended periods, prepare for storage.

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Empty and clean the water tank. Let it dry.
  3. Clean the air filter and let it dry.
  4. Wrap the power cord around the cord hooks.
  5. Store in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original box.

CAUTION! Do not store unit on its side. Store upright to protect internal components.
