Installation & Placement

Unpack and inspect contents. Choose a suitable location.

  1. Clear the area: Ensure at least 12 inches of clearance on all sides for proper airflow.
  2. Level surface: Place on a flat, stable, and waterproof surface.
  3. Check ambient temperature: Operate between 41°F (5°C) and 95°F (35°C) for optimal performance.
  4. Power connection: Plug directly into a grounded 120V AC outlet. Do not use an extension cord.
  5. Drainage setup: Decide between using the water tank or connecting a hose for continuous drainage.

WARNING! Do not place near heat sources or in direct sunlight. Ensure the room is adequately sealed for efficient dehumidification.

First-Time Setup

Power on the dehumidifier; configure initial settings.

  1. Insert the water tank: Ensure it is correctly seated and locked into place.
  2. Set desired humidity: Press the HUMIDITY button and use arrows to select a target (e.g., 45-50% for general comfort).
  3. Select mode: Choose between CONTINUOUS, AUTO (based on humidistat), or QUIET mode.
  4. Set the timer (optional): Use TIMER button to program automatic start/stop times.
  5. Check filter: Verify the washable filter is installed and clean.

CAUTION! Always handle the unit with dry hands. Do not operate with a damaged cord or plug.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Access all functions via the front control panel or remote control (if included).

Control Panel: POWER, MODE (Continuous/Auto/Quiet), HUMIDITY ▲/▼, TIMER, FILTER RESET, TANK FULL indicator LED.

Digital Display: Shows current room humidity, target humidity, timer status, filter alert, and tank full icon.

Settings Overview: Humidity Set Point, Operation Mode, Programmable Timer (1-24 hrs), Filter Maintenance Reminder, Auto-Restart after power failure.

Operation Modes

Three primary modes for different needs.

  1. Continuous Mode: Runs constantly until turned off or tank is full. Ignores humidistat setting.
  2. Auto Mode (Default): Monitors room humidity. Compressor cycles on/off automatically to maintain the set target humidity level.
  3. Quiet Mode: Reduces fan speed for quieter operation, ideal for bedrooms or offices. Slightly reduces moisture removal rate.

Tip: Use Auto Mode for energy-efficient operation. Use Continuous Mode for rapid drying in very damp conditions.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Daily/Weekly: Check and empty the water tank as needed. Do not allow tank to overflow.
  2. Every 2 Weeks: Clean the washable air filter.
    • Remove filter from the rear grille.
    • Rinse under lukewarm water. Gently shake off excess.
    • Allow to air dry completely before reinstalling.
  3. Seasonal Storage: If not using for an extended period:
    • Empty and dry the water tank completely.
    • Clean the filter and housing.
    • Run the unit in Fan-Only mode for 30 minutes to dry internal components.
    • Coil and store the power cord. Store in a cool, dry place.

CAUTION! Always unplug the unit before cleaning or maintenance. Never use abrasive chemicals or immerse the unit in water.

Drainage Options

Two methods for removing collected water.

  1. Manual (Water Tank):
    • When the TANK FULL light illuminates, power will shut off automatically.
    • Grip the handle, pull the tank straight out.
    • Carry to a sink or drain, pour out water.
    • Replace tank firmly. Unit will resume operation if in Auto mode.
  2. Continuous Drain (Recommended for high humidity):
    • Locate the drain hose port on the back of the unit.
    • Connect a standard 5/8" inner diameter garden hose (not included).
    • Route the hose to a floor drain, sink, or sump pump. Ensure hose has a downward slope.
    • Remove the water tank for continuous operation.

Note: The auto-shutoff function is disabled when using continuous drain.
