Installation & Placement

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a flat, stable, and level surface.

  1. Choose Location: Place in the center of the room or area with excess moisture, away from walls and furniture for proper airflow.
  2. Check Clearance: Ensure at least 12-18 inches of clearance on all sides, especially the air intake and exhaust.
  3. Level Surface: Ensure unit is level so the internal bucket sits correctly and the full-tank sensor works properly.
  4. Ambient Temperature: Operate within the specified temperature range (typically above 41°F/5°C) for optimal performance.

WARNING! Do not place in tight enclosures or block air vents. Ensure the power cord is not pinched or damaged.

First-Time Setup

Before first use, prepare the dehumidifier.

  1. Install the Filter: Ensure the washable filter is correctly seated in its slot.
  2. Insert Water Tank: Push the empty water tank firmly into place until it clicks.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord directly into a grounded 120V AC outlet. Do not use an extension cord.
  4. Initial Settings: Turn the unit on. Set your desired humidity level (start with 50% RH). Select fan speed if applicable.
  5. Allow Runtime: Let the unit run for 24 hours continuously to assess the moisture removal rate in your space.

CAUTION! Always handle the water tank with care to avoid spills. Empty the tank before moving the unit.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Clean Air Filter: Remove and rinse filter under lukewarm water every 2-4 weeks. Let dry completely before reinstalling. Press FILTER RESET.
  2. Empty Water Tank: Regularly check and empty the tank before it becomes full to prevent automatic shut-off and overflow.
  3. Clean Exterior: Wipe the cabinet with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives.
  4. Clean Water Tank: Periodically wash the tank with mild soap and water to prevent mold/mildew. Rinse thoroughly.
  5. End-of-Season Storage: Empty and dry tank completely. Clean filter. Coil and secure the power cord. Store in a dry place.

WARNING! Always unplug the unit before performing any maintenance. Never immerse the main unit in water.

Drainage Options

Two methods for removing collected water: Manual (Bucket) and Continuous Drain.

Manual Drain: Use the built-in water tank. When the "Full Tank" light comes on, power off, pull out the tank, carry to a sink/drain, empty, and reinsert.

Continuous Drain:

  1. Locate the drain port (usually on the back).
  2. Remove the port cap/plug.
  3. Connect a standard garden hose (not included). Ensure hose is routed downhill without kinks.
  4. Place the other end of the hose into a floor drain, sink, or sump pump.
  5. The unit will now drain continuously; the water tank does not need to be emptied manually.

CAUTION! For continuous drain, the unit must be level and the hose outlet must be lower than the drain port.
