Installation & Placement

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a level, stable floor surface.

  1. Choose Location: Place in center of room or area with high humidity, away from walls and furniture for proper airflow.
  2. Check Clearance: Ensure at least 12 inches of clearance on all sides, especially air intake and exhaust.
  3. Level Surface: Unit must be level for proper operation and to prevent water leakage.
  4. Ambient Temperature: Operate only in temperatures between 41°F (5°C) and 95°F (35°C).

WARNING! Do not place on soft surfaces like carpet without a solid barrier. Ensure the unit is upright for at least 24 hours before first use if it was tilted during transport.

First-Time Setup

Plug into a dedicated 115V AC outlet; follow initial setup steps.

  1. Install Filter: Ensure the washable air filter is correctly seated in its slot.
  2. Insert Water Tank: Push the empty tank firmly into place until it clicks.
  3. Power On: Plug in the unit. The control panel will illuminate.
  4. Set Humidity: Press the HUMIDITY button to select desired relative humidity level (e.g., 45%-55% for general comfort).
  5. Select Mode: Choose between Continuous, Auto, or Turbo mode using the MODE button.
  6. Set Timer (Optional): Use the TIMER button to program automatic start/stop times.

CAUTION! Use only a properly grounded outlet. Do not use an extension cord.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Access all functions via the digital control panel or included remote control.

Control Panel: POWER, MODE (Auto/Continuous/Turbo), HUMIDITY SET, FAN SPEED (Low/High), TIMER, FILTER ALERT RESET, CONTROL LOCK.

Remote: POWER, MODE, HUMIDITY UP/DOWN, TIMER, FAN SPEED.

Settings: Humidity Set Point (30%-80%), Fan Speed (Low for quiet operation, High for faster dehumidification), Mode (Auto - maintains set humidity, Continuous - runs constantly, Turbo - maximum moisture removal), Timer (program up to 24 hours).

Operation Modes

Three primary modes for different needs.

  1. Auto Mode: Unit automatically cycles on/off to maintain your selected humidity level. Most energy-efficient for sustained use.
  2. Continuous Mode: Runs constantly regardless of humidity level. Use for rapid initial drying in very damp spaces.
  3. Turbo Mode: Fan runs at highest speed with compressor for maximum moisture removal. Use for fastest results; note increased noise level.

Tip: For everyday use in a basement or living area, Auto mode at 50% RH is recommended.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Empty Water Tank: Empty tank promptly when FULL indicator lights or auto-shutoff activates. Clean tank with mild detergent monthly.
  2. Clean Air Filter: Remove and wash the filter under warm water every 2 weeks during heavy use, or monthly. Let dry completely before reinstalling. Press FILTER RESET button.
  3. Exterior Cleaning: Unplug unit. Wipe exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  4. End-of-Season Storage: Empty and clean tank. Run unit in Fan Only mode for 30 minutes to dry internal components. Coil and store power cord. Store in a dry, covered location.

CAUTION! Always unplug the unit before any cleaning or maintenance. Never immerse the unit in water.

Drainage Options

Two methods for water removal: manual via tank or continuous via hose.

  1. Manual Drainage (Tank): Unit will shut off when tank is full. Grip handle, pull tank straight out. Empty water into a sink or drain. Reinsert tank firmly.
  2. Continuous Drainage (Hose): For unattended operation. Remove tank. Attach a standard 5/8" inner diameter garden hose (not included) to the drain port at the back. Ensure hose runs downward to a floor drain or sink. Unit will now drain continuously; tank full alert will not activate.

Note: For hose drainage, the drain destination must be lower than the dehumidifier's drain port.

Safety Features

Built-in protections for safe operation.
