  2. Clearance: Ensure at least 12 inches of clearance on all sides, especially air intake and exhaust.
  3. Ambient temperature: Operate within 41°F to 90°F (5°C to 32°C) for optimal performance.
  4. Power connection: Plug directly into a grounded 120V AC, 60Hz outlet. Do not use extension cords.

WARNING! Do not place near heat sources or in direct sunlight. Ensure the unit is upright before operation.

CAUTION! Always handle the unit with dry hands. Do not operate with a damaged cord or plug.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Access all functions via the front control panel or included remote (if applicable).

Control Panel: POWER Button, Humidity UP/DOWN Buttons, Timer Button, Filter Reset Indicator, Full Tank Indicator, Mode Indicator LEDs.

Modes: Auto Mode (maintains set humidity), Continuous Mode (runs continuously until tank is full or turned off), Timer (set 1-24 hours for automatic on/off).

Settings: Adjust target humidity level. Enable/disable audible alert for full tank. Reset filter maintenance reminder after cleaning.

Operation Modes

The dehumidifier offers multiple modes for flexible use.

  1. Auto Mode: Unit cycles on/off automatically to maintain the user-set humidity level. Most energy-efficient for maintaining comfort.
  2. Continuous Mode: Unit runs continuously until the water tank is full or manually turned off. Use for rapid moisture removal.
  3. Timer Mode: Program the unit to turn on or off after a set delay (1-24 hours). Press Timer button and use Humidity buttons to set hours.
  4. Auto-Defrost: If coil temperature drops too low, the unit will temporarily pause operation to defrost, then resume automatically.

Tip: For best results in living spaces, start with Continuous mode to reduce high humidity, then switch to Auto mode.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Emptying the Water Tank: When the Full Tank LED lights, power off, pull out the tank, carry to sink, empty, and reinsert firmly.
  2. Cleaning the Air Filter: Every two weeks (or as needed), remove the filter, rinse with lukewarm water, let air dry completely, and reinstall.
  3. Cleaning the Exterior: Unplug unit. Wipe cabinet with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  4. End-of-Season Storage: Empty and dry the tank completely. Clean the filter. Coil the power cord. Store in a cool, dry place in its original box if possible.

WARNING! Always unplug the unit before any maintenance. Never immerse the unit in water.

Continuous Drain Option

For unattended, long-term operation, use the continuous drain feature.

  1. Locate the drain outlet on the back of the unit.
  2. Remove the outlet cap.
  3. Connect a standard 5/8" inner diameter garden hose (not included). Ensure hose is secure.
  4. Route the hose to a floor drain, sink, or sump pump. The hose path must slope downward without kinks.
  5. With hose connected, the unit will bypass the internal tank and drain continuously. The Full Tank alert will not activate.

CAUTION! Ensure the drain hose is lower than the drain outlet on the dehumidifier. Check hose periodically for clogs.
