Installation & Placement

Unpack and inspect contents. Choose a suitable location.

  1. Place on a level, stable surface: Ensure unit is upright and not tilted.
  2. Clearance: Allow at least 12 inches of space around air vents (front, back, and sides).
  3. Ambient temperature: Operate between 41°F (5°C) and 95°F (35°C) for optimal performance.
  4. Power connection: Plug directly into a grounded 120V AC, 60Hz outlet. Do not use an extension cord.

WARNING! Do not place near heat sources or in direct sunlight. Ensure the room is adequately sealed for efficient dehumidification.

First-Time Setup

Power on the dehumidifier; configure initial settings.

  1. Insert the water tank: Push firmly into place until it clicks.
  2. Power on: Plug in and press the POWER button. The unit will beep and the display will light up.
  3. Set desired humidity: Use the UP/DOWN buttons to set your target relative humidity (e.g., 45%-55%).
  4. Select fan speed: Choose between HIGH (faster dehumidification) or LOW (quieter operation).
  5. Optional timer: Press TIMER to program automatic start/stop times.

CAUTION! Handle the water tank with care to avoid spills. Ensure the filter is clean and properly installed before first use.

Specifications

Controls and Operation

Access all functions via the digital control panel on the top of the unit.

Control Panel Buttons & Display: POWER, MODE (Continuous/Target Humidity), FAN SPEED (High/Low), TIMER (2/4/8/12 Hr or 24Hr Program), UP/DOWN (Humidity Setpoint), FILTER ALERT (Reset). Display shows: Set Humidity, Current Humidity, Fan Speed Icon, Timer Icon, Full Tank Alert, Filter Alert.

Basic Operation: Press POWER. Use MODE to choose between CONTINUOUS (runs constantly) or TARGET (stops at set humidity). Use UP/DOWN to adjust target humidity. Use FAN SPEED to select airflow. The compressor will cycle on and off automatically to maintain the set humidity level.

Drainage Options

Two methods for removing collected water: Manual (bucket) or Continuous (hose).

  1. Manual Drainage (Bucket):
    • When the tank is full, the unit will beep, the "FULL" indicator will light, and it will shut off.
    • Grip the tank handle, pull straight out, and carry to a sink or drain.
    • Empty water, replace tank firmly. The unit will resume operation if power is on.
  2. Continuous Drainage (Hose):
    • Remove the water tank. Locate the drain outlet on the back of the unit.
    • Connect a standard 5/8" inner diameter garden hose (not included) to the outlet.
    • Route the hose to a floor drain or sink. Ensure the hose path is downhill without kinks.
    • Replace the empty water tank. The unit will now drain continuously, ignoring the tank.

Tip: For basement use, continuous drainage is recommended. Ensure the drain point is lower than the dehumidifier outlet.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Unplug the unit before any maintenance.

  1. Cleaning the Air Filter:
    • Remove the filter grill (usually on the back). Pull out the washable filter.
    • Vacuum loose dust or rinse under lukewarm water. Let air dry completely.
    • Reinstall the filter and grill. Press the FILTER button for 3 seconds to reset the alert.
    • Frequency: Clean every 2 weeks under normal use; more often in dusty environments.
  2. Cleaning the Water Tank:
    • To prevent mold/mildew, clean the tank monthly with a mild detergent and soft cloth.
    • Rinse thoroughly. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  3. Exterior Cleaning:
    • Wipe the cabinet with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use chemicals or allow water inside vents.
  4. End-of-Season Storage:
    • Empty and clean the tank. Let the unit run in FAN ONLY mode for a few hours to dry the coils.
    • Unplug, coil the power cord, and store in a dry, cool place. Cover to prevent dust.

CAUTION! Never immerse the unit in water. Do not operate without the filter installed.
