Installation & Placement

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a flat, stable, and level surface.

  1. Clear the area: Ensure at least 12-18 inches of clearance on all sides, especially near air intake and outlet grilles.
  2. Check for level: Unit must be level for proper bucket operation and water collection.
  3. Install the air filter: Remove filter from packaging, ensure it's clean, and insert into the designated slot.
  4. Position near a drain (optional): If using continuous drainage, place within hose reach of a floor drain or sink.
  5. Plug into a dedicated outlet: Use a properly grounded 120V AC, 60Hz outlet. Do not use an extension cord.

WARNING! Do not place in tight enclosures or block airflow. Keep away from heat sources and direct sunlight.

First-Time Setup

Power on the dehumidifier; set initial operating parameters.

  1. Initial dry-out: If unit is cold, allow it to reach room temperature for 2-3 hours before first use.
  2. Insert the empty water bucket: Ensure it is fully seated and clicks into place.
  3. Power on: Press the POWER button. The unit may beep and indicator lights will illuminate.
  4. Set desired humidity: Use the UP/DOWN buttons or control dial to set the target relative humidity (e.g., 45%-55%).
  5. Select fan speed: Choose between HIGH (faster dehumidification) or LOW (quieter operation).
  6. Set timer (optional): Program the ON or OFF timer for automatic operation.

CAUTION! Always handle the unit with care. Ensure the bucket is correctly installed before operation to prevent leaks.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Access functions via the front control panel or remote control (if included).

Control Panel: POWER, HUMIDITY SET (+/-), FAN SPEED (HIGH/LOW), TIMER (ON/OFF), MODE (CONTINUOUS/AUTO).

Indicator Lights: POWER (green), FULL BUCKET (red), DEFROST (amber), FILTER CHECK (amber).

Settings: Target Humidity (adjustable), Fan Speed (High for max moisture removal, Low for quiet), Timer (set unit to turn on/off after 1-24 hours), Continuous Mode (runs constantly regardless of humidity level), Auto Mode (cycles on/off to maintain set humidity).

Operation Modes

Auto Mode: Unit monitors room humidity and turns compressor on/off to maintain the set level. Continuous Mode: Compressor runs non-stop until turned off or bucket is full (for rapid drying). Laundry Mode (if applicable): Optimizes settings for drying laundry in a closed room.

  1. Select Mode: Press the MODE button to cycle between AUTO and CONTINUOUS.
  2. Monitor Operation: In AUTO mode, the compressor will cycle. In CONTINUOUS mode, it runs constantly.
  3. Full Bucket Alert: When bucket is full, unit beeps, POWER light may flash, and compressor stops. Empty bucket to resume.
  4. Auto-Defrost: In cold rooms, DEFROST light will illuminate; unit pauses dehumidification to melt frost on coils, then resumes automatically.

Tip: For best efficiency, keep doors and windows closed in the room being dehumidified.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Unplug the unit before any maintenance.

  1. Empty the Water Bucket: Remove, empty, and replace bucket regularly. Clean with mild detergent monthly.
  2. Clean the Air Filter: Remove filter every 2 weeks (more often in dusty environments). Rinse under lukewarm water, let air dry completely before reinstalling.
  3. Clean the Exterior: Wipe cabinet with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives.
  4. End-of-Season Storage: Empty and dry bucket completely. Run unit in FAN ONLY mode for a few hours to dry internal components. Coil power cord. Store in a cool, dry place.

WARNING! Never operate without the air filter. Do not immerse unit in water. Ensure filter is completely dry before reinserting.

Continuous Drainage

For unattended operation, connect a standard garden hose (not included) to the drain outlet.

  1. Ensure unit is OFF and unplugged.
  2. Remove the drain outlet cap from the back of the unit.
  3. Connect a 5/8" inner diameter garden hose to the outlet. Secure with a hose clamp if necessary.
  4. Place the other end of the hose into a floor drain, sink, or sump pump where water can flow freely downhill.
  5. Ensure the hose has no kinks or loops that could trap water.
  6. The bucket does not need to be installed when using continuous drainage. The FULL BUCKET alert will not activate.

CAUTION! The drain hose must run downhill without any upward loops, or water may not drain properly.
